KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- Selangor has won the "Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Development Award" given by the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia (Pikom).
The award was received by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo from Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik during the "Pikom National ICT Award and Dinner 2006" event here Friday.
Other awards presented included "Product of the Year", "Chief Information Officer of the Year", "Technopreneur of the Year", "ICT Retailer of the Year" and "ICT Service Provider of the Year".
The "Product of the Year" award went to Inavigate Sdn Bhd's traffic check application and Knowledge Base Sdn Bhd's blood bank information system.
Iris Corporation Bhd was named "Technopreneur of the Year" while the chief information officer award went to Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
PDA Expert Sdn Bhd won the ICT retailer award while Mesiniaga Bhd as named "ICT Service Provider of the Year".
