DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd has teamed up with iNavigate Sdn Bhd to provide mEye, a home monitoring solution that enables customers to use their mobile phone to access web cams at home or the office from anywhere, anytime. It provides either still images or 10-second video clips.
In a statement on Dec 15, DiGi chief marketing officer, Chee Pok Jin, said: “We are delighted that DiGi is once again adding value to simplify everyday life for our customers. Having peace of mind knowing things are okay at home while one is away has multiple benefits, including enabling one to fully focus on what he or she is doing.”
iNavigate chief executive officer, KK Lim, said mEye empowered PC users to utilise the visual capabilities of their computer through their mobile phone without having to buy new hardware.
mEye can be installed quickly, requiring only a web cam, a computer, broadband internet connection and a mobile phone, with no additional software needed for the mobile device.
DiGi will demonstrate how mEye works and how it can be installed at its roadshow from Dec 16 to 20 at Berjaya Times Square Link Bridge (Level 1, next to the DiGi Centre) in Kuala Lumpur.
